Croatia & Slovenia Multi Adventure Active Tour This active and fun trip will take you to see and experience the best of Croatia & Slovenia, two lesser known but fantastic up and coming countries in Europe. This unique, activity-packed tour is limited to seven guests and requires a minimum of 3 guests.

We’ll do: hiking, walking, biking, swimming, canoeing, and riding horses
The itinerary is not set in stone – Final planning will be determined by input from everyone that has signed up.
See and experience the “off-the-tourist-path” areas of northern Croatia including Motovun, Rovinj, Pula, and Opatija
As well as the best of beautiful Slovenia including Lake Bled, Bled Castle, the cosmopolitan city of Ljubljana, Lake Bohinj, Triglav National Park, Skocjan Caves and the Julian Alps while walking, cycling and canoeing

Day One
Pickup is at the Venice Marco Polo airport at 1:30pm then we will drive to the famous Lipizzaner Horse Farm for a tour. Tonight we will stay at a nearby family run lodge.

Day Two
Today we will visit the unique Predjama Castle, and walk through the Skocjan caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A short drive takes us to the fun, bohemian capital of Ljubljana where we can get to know the friendly locals. We will spend the night in the old town.

Day Three
We’ll take a morning walk at the picturesque Vintar Gorge along the river that runs through the gorge with its many rapids, pools and waterfalls. Later we’ll make our way to our hotel which has a great view of Lake Bled and its castle, with the Julian Alps in the distance.

Day Four
Today we’ll spend the day at the picture perfect Lake Bled. Here we can enjoy some time walking around the lake. If you’d like you can also take a boat out to the island in the middle of the lake and visit the fairy tale castle and bell tower.

Day Five
Today we are off to the serene Lake Bohinj. Here we can spend the day riding bicycles, walking and even canoeing to a private swimming spot on the pristine lake. Tonight we will spend a relaxing evening lakeside.

Day Six
We will take a cable car up and hike to view the spectacular Julian Alps and Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia. Dinner tonight is a traditional Slovenian meal at a nearby farmhouse.

Day Seven
We will take a unique train ride through the mountains to the “Tuscan-like” wine area of Brda. We’ll enjoy wine tasting and great food and stay at a multi-generational family-run winery.

Day Eight
After breakfast we’ll head to the Venice Marco Polo Airport to arrive around 1pm.
Good to Know
- This is an active vacation so you will need to bring clothing and footwear for hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking and general touristing. A suggested packing list will be sent out.
- I try to stay fluid to the group, the weather and daily circumstances. It is best to have an open mind and be prepared to have a fun adventure.
- Our itinerary is carefully designed to see the best sights of Slovenia without spending a lot of time driving around in a van.
