This is a four-day trek in the Himalaya, but it isn’t an expedition, and you certainly don’t need to be a mountaineer or a mountain goat. Most days involve around 3–5 hours of walking and 4–8 miles on well-established village paths, with stone steps, uneven terrain, and plenty of ups and downs. You should be reasonably fit and comfortable walking for several hours, but we’re not interested in seeing how fast anyone can get from one lodge to the next.

The idea is to enjoy being in the Himalaya, not race through it. There’s also time to explore villages, landmarks and schools along the way — and if you want to walk more, you can. If you’re unsure whether the walking is right for you, talk to us before booking. We’ll tell you what it’s really like.
