Portugal is a very good place to arrive hungry.

Fresh seafood, grilled fish, local cheeses, wonderful vegetables, pastries, and Portuguese wines are all part of the experience.

Breakfast is included most mornings. During our two-night stay in Salema, you’ll have a kitchenette and fridge in your apartment, and we’ll show you where to pick up breakfast supplies or find a nearby café.

Lunches and dinners aren’t included, so you’re free to choose what — and how much — you’d like to eat. And of course, we’ll point you toward some of our favorite local restaurants for dinner.

We often eat together in the evenings, but you’re always free to do your own thing.

And at some point there will almost certainly be a pastel de nata.

Probably more than one.
