This is something we’re particularly fussy about.
Katarina and I spent months exploring southern Portugal, not only finding great walks but searching for places where we’d genuinely want our guests to stay.
We prefer smaller, characterful hotels, villas and locally owned properties with wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms and great locations.
We don’t choose somewhere simply because it’s convenient for a tour operator. We choose places where we’d be happy staying ourselves.
For us, where you stay isn’t simply somewhere to sleep.
It’s part of the experience.
