Dolomites, Lake Garda & South Tyrol – Cycling, mountain biking & E-biking logistics & van support.

Available between April and October.

I have been a keen cyclist for many years (40+) and was a competitive cyclist and triathlete – and now I am the proud owner of an electric mountain bike which is perfect for exploring the steep hills of the Dolomites.

I understand how confusing the Dolomites can be – knowing where to go and what trails or roads to ride. Consider that there are nine different UNESCO nature parks in the Dolomites, dozens of different valleys you can base yourself in, hundreds of different hotels, and thousands of miles of roads and trails – and signs and maps can be in two or three languages – mama mia!

I offer advice and support for road cyclists, mountain bikers, downhillers, and electric mountain bikers of all levels and budgets. Let me help you figure out where to go, where to stay and where to ride, and how to get where you need to go at a price you can afford – no matter how many are in your group. I can take care of pick up and drop off at the start and end of your trip, and/or your rides. And rental bikes are also available.

I spent my first summer in the Dolomites 12 years ago exploring every nook and cranny and getting to know the locals and what they could teach me about the best hikes and rides, the most beautiful valleys, the coolest and the most traditional Tyrolean villages. I have stayed in dozens and dozens of hotels and know great family-run hotels for every budget and personality type, and those that are more bike-friendly. We also know what mountain lodges (Refugio’s) have e-bike chargers you can use.

I have been there every summer since 2009 (except for 2020 due to the coronavirus) and led over 100 groups through the area as well as around Lake Garda and through the unique region of South Tyrol/Alto Adige so know where to go and what to do to really experience the best of this amazing area that I love! I also know some excellent local guides who would love to ride with you and teach you about the area.

Private van transportation with bike trailers (for up to 25 bikes) can be arranged from anywhere in northern Italy. We usually pick up people from either Milan, Lake Garda, Venice, Verona, Bolzano, Innsbruck, Munich, or Cortina d’Ampezzo – and it is simple to get a train to most places to make it easier for pick up. (There are no train services “into” the Dolomites).
My passion is to share this incredible area with people and my goal for you and your friends is to see and experience the very best cycling of the Dolomites of South Tyrol and/or Lake Garda while doing a lot of incredible rides and enjoying the very best views. After 11 summers in the area I know the very best roads and trails for every level of fitness and riding experience and to maximize your time and enjoyment.

We can suggest some awesome itineraries, incredible villages to base yourself out of, and places to stay and work within your budget which all depends on how many people you have in your group and how many days you want to stay and ride for.

We will also suggest lots of fun and interesting things to do along the way including the Messner Mountain Museum, the “Otzi” museum – dedicated to the 5,400-year-old Iceman, museums and Roman ruins, Cinque Torri, the Tofane, Alta Badia, Val Gardena, Val Di Funes, the Ampezzo valley, Alp Di Suzi, and more!

We also know the “iconic” rides and events such as the Sella Rhonda Bike Day and the Dolomiti Bike Day and the famous passes in the Dolomites and have access to one of the best private bike museums in the world. Contact us about the many biking options.
